George Adams brings over 25 years of successful executive experience creating and growing mobile, enterprise, and security software businesses. As CEO, he is responsible for leading the company’s strategic development and execution to achieve high profitable growth. Before co-founding ViziApps, he was CEO of SSH Communications Security Inc., building it from a startup to an industry leader and $400M IPO. Before that, he was VP of Marketing, Products, and Business Development, for Phoenix Technologies Ltd., helping create and expand the PC, laptop, and mobile device industries. Earlier, he launched and built key new industry-leading businesses at Sun Microsystems, Intel, Analog Devices, and Motorola. George has served on the Boards of several early stage information technology companies and spoken at numerous industry conferences. George is a Board Member of SAMI, Sales and Marketing Innovators, an industry group focused on the latest best practices and technologies for sales and marketing in 21st century companies. He earned an MBA from Boston University and a BSEE from the University of Miami.
Co-founder, CTO, and Board Chair
Michael Kuperstein has over 25 years of experience inventing and commercializing technology by founding and growing companies. He has done this in 3 previous companies: Michael founded Symbus Technology, which joined with Captiva Software Corp which was acquired by EMC for $245M. There he invented handwriting recognition technology. For eTrue, Michael invented facial recognition technology that was acquired by Viisage in 2002, and at Metaphor Solutions, he invented on-demand voice recognition applications. As Co-founder and CTO of ViziApps, he invented the ViziApps rapid visual authoring of mobile applications and is responsible for leading the company’s product and technology development. He has 7 issued patents and has published numerous journal articles. Michael invented and patented the world’s first neural network robot in 1987 that learns from its own experience. He co-authored a book on how the brain learns visual-motor coordination in 1988. Michael earned his Ph.D. from MIT.
Tom Trometer’s extensive experience with a wide range of innovative, early stage pioneering companies uniquely qualifies him to serve as the Chief Financial Officer for ViziApps. At ViziApps, he provides financial management, directs the corporate treasury function, establishes protocols and standards for internal reporting, helps develop business models and plans, oversees shareholder communications, and establishes risk management for the company. Tom has over 25 years of experience and has served as the CFO for both publicly traded and privately held companies, including Constant Contact and HubCast. Tom is a CPA with a BS in accounting from Canisius College in Buffalo, NY.
VP of Business Development
Louis Gudema has over 20 years of digital marketing, mobile and enterprise sales experience. For a dozen years he headed his own digital marketing agency which served such companies as IBM, The Boston Globe, and successful venture-backed startups such as SpeechWorks and Endeca. He then pivoted to make it a SaaS web development and hosting firm with its own proprietary content management system, building a national clientele before a success exit. He has served as VP of Business Development for two digital agencies, creating digital marketing strategies and closing major accounts, before working on his own for a variety of clients. He has written market research and marketing technology vendor reviews for major tech analyst firms, blogged for many leading business and marketing blogs, and mentors startups at MIT. Louis is president of SAMI, Sales and Marketing Innovators, an industry group focused on the latest best practices and technologies for sales and marketing in 21st century companies.
Dr Howard Morgan
Howard Morgan has more than 25 years of experience serving as a mentor, advisor, investor, and executive in entrepreneurial ventures. He is a founding partner of First Round Capital, a seed stage venture fund. He was a founding investor and is a Director in Idealab. Since 1989, Dr. Morgan has served as President of Arca Group, Inc., a consulting firm specializing in computers and communications technologies. He serves as a director for a number of public companies, including Franklin Electronic Publishers, Inc. and Internet Brands, Inc. A respected author and frequent industry conference speaker, he has been an active consultant and speaker on information systems for more than 30 years, working with many Fortune 100 companies and major government agencies. He has been a Visiting Professor at the California Institute of Technology and the Harvard Business School. Earlier, he was a Professor of Decision Sciences at the Wharton School and a Professor of Computer Science at the Moore School of the University of Pennsylvania. Dr. Morgan received his Ph.D. in operations research from Cornell University and a B.S. in physics from City College of the City University of New York.
As a veteran executive of successful startups and major high technology enterprises, Bob Garrow is able to combine his creative ability with years of experience. Highlights of his career include pioneering work at Intel as an engineer and engineering manager. He was a co-founder of Convergent Technologies as VP Engineering and General Manger, developing CT from startup to IPO. He managed very high growth at Sun Microsystems as GM of Sun’s Workstation Division and later, as VP of World Wide Manufacturing. He led the creation of high technology enterprises as co-founder and CEO of Athenix Corporation, and as co-founder and in business development and sales and SVP Strategic Relationships at Liquid Computing. In 2009, Bob created Unit Enterprises LLC, a professional services company, through which he assists startups and on-going concerns in various roles including business development and operations. Mr. Garrow received his BSEE from UC Berkeley and completed MSEE programs at the University of Santa Clara.
